INTRODUCTION
Welcome to my personal webpage!
My name is Thomas Rodrigeuz-Schucker and I'm thrilled that you've stopped by. Here's a little bit about me: I'm passionate about Public Health with an expertise in HIV prevention and care programs. I'm committed to using my skills and knowledge to make a positive impact in the world. Whether it's through my work, my hobbies, or my personal relationships, I'm always looking for ways to learn, grow, and connect with others.
Growing up, I always knew that I wanted to help people. As I got older and learned more about the world around me, I realized that one of the most meaningful ways I could make a difference was by dedicating my life to serving the public in multiple ways. I was drawn to public health in 2015 when I began my journey in HIV treatment and care at Eastern Virginia Medical School. The field offered me the opportunity to work on issues that mattered to me, such as improving access to healthcare and reducing health disparities.
As I pursued my education and began working in the field, I became even more passionate about public health. I saw firsthand the impact that thoughtful policies and programs could have on individuals and communities, and I felt privileged to be a part of that work. Whether it was working to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, promoting healthy behaviors, or advocating for policies that supported the most vulnerable members of our society, I felt a deep sense of purpose in everything that I did.
Over time, my dedication to public health has only grown stronger. While the field is constantly evolving and presenting new challenges, I remain committed to using my skills, knowledge, and passion to make a positive impact. Whether through my work with organizations and communities, or by raising awareness and advocating for change more broadly, I am determined to do everything in my power to improve public health and make a difference in the world.
Since 2015 I have worked with multiple Federal, State, and local HIV Prevention and Care programs. Programs such as Ryan White HIV/AIDS Programs, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Department of Housing and Urban Development/HOPWA and Supportive Housing Programs, Community Development Block Grants, 340B Pharmacy program development, and hospital and non-profit organization administration.
When I'm not working, you can usually find me pursuing one of my many hobbies like community service, gardening, photography, knitting, quilting, cooking, and travel. I'm always looking for new adventures and experiences.
Follow me on social media and join me in a call to action to help End the HIV Epidemic. Ending the HIV epidemic requires all of us to take action. From getting tested and advocating for policies that promote HIV prevention and care, to supporting organizations and educating others, we can make a difference. Let's work together to create a world where HIV is no longer a public health threat
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a little better. I'm excited to connect with you and learn more about what makes you tick!
